Episode 47
French Idiots, Side-stage at Queen, Oxford University and Elis' Picks for 2015
Show broadcast on 3 January 2015
Welcome to 2015 and the all-new Elis James and John Robins show! Well, it's not really that new. It's pretty much the same. But that's a good thing, right? Anyway this week Elis and John returned from their Christmas (Cringle) breaks with tales of opening for Queen's New Year's Eve gig, a dad defending his son with an umbrella, and a problem regarding cats. Plus there's Winner Plays On, Teenage Fanclub, and chapter 8 of John's Autobiography.
Podcast intro
John accidentally lets slip that the podcast only has two listeners.
John's introduction of Elis
"To my left is the man who, if rumours are to be believed, is slated to play the lead in the big screen adaptation of Last of the Summer Wine. "
Conversations and riffs
On New Year's Eve, John supported his favourite rock band Queen in London.
Elis has to riff on air to try to come up with some tips for new bands to watch out for in 2015.
Both Elis and Producer Dave are going to stag parties in Barcelona at the same time, and John is upset about that.
